Last week, to tie in with National Poetry Day, wre held our Poetry Creative Week.

The children wrote some wonderful poetry and many parents came in to see just what their children were doing and to lend a hand. On the Tuesday Miss Thomas led a Parents and Children Poetry Workshop and she was amazed at the quality of the work produced.

As a grand finale on the Friday we welcomed the famous poet, John Foster, to talk to all the children.

Mr Foster told us all about writing poetry and he recited some of his famous poems. Charlotte Clarke and Megan Sanchez from Year 4 took the opportunity to ask him some questions. You can listen to their BearWaves interview by clicking here.
