Year 4 Visit Bradwell Abbey

On Wednesday 12th November Year 4 walked to Bradwell Abbey. They were going to have a Roman Day.
At the Abbey
When the children finally arrived at Bradwell Abbey their first activity was to find out about ordinary life in Roman times, the family, food and clothes. Some of the children were able to dress up in Roman costumes.
The second activity involved going to a Roman weapon store and learning what it was like to be a member of the Roman army.
The day ended with a walk to Bancroft to explore the ruined Roman Villa. Click here to visit the Gallery and to see some more photos.
