Spring Term 2015 Creative Fortnight

Our Spring 2015 Creative Fortnight ended with a flourish on Friday, 16th January.

The focus of this term's creative Fortnight was British Galleries and Museums. Throughout the two weeks the children continued to focus on English and Maths but where possible they were taught in a cross-curricular fashion. The children explored:

  • Year 3  -  The Ashmolean Museum in Oxford
  • Year 4  -  The National Portrait Gallery in London
  • Year 5  -  The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge
  • Year 6  -  The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool

The fortnight ended on Friday 16th January, between 2.15pm and 3.30pm, when we held an exhibition of the children’s work. In the hall some of the children demonstrated a few of the things they had learnt and parents were able to tour around each Year Group to admire the children’s hard work and talent.

Many thanks to all the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who came into work with the children and to our Open Afternoon.
