National Pet Month

2014 is the silver anniversary of National Pet Month.

Since its launch 25 years ago National Pet Month has been promoting responsible pet ownership and helping pet charities across the UK raise thousands of pounds for their organisations.

Taking place from April 1st to May 5th, the theme this year is Celebrating Our Pets.

With the help of Jaci Warrilow, Director of Midsummer Veterinary Group, BVS has held a Pet Week. Over the week we have had a number of visitors including Sue from Cat Protection, Marian from Blue Cross, Kirsty from Medical Detection Dogs with her dog Mrs Patmore, Jade (a dog behavioural expert) with her dog Impy, Judy and Michelle from Pedigree and Sarah and Tam who are veterinary nurses. In addition we have also been visited by Pippin (Miss Thomson’s dog), Dave (Mrs Savill’s dog) and Serena (Mr O’Connell’s chicken).

This has been a fantastic week and we have all learnt a great deal. Click here to see some photos.
