Pupil Premium & Sports Funding
Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is available to support Looked After children and children who are entitled to, or have been entitled to free school meals. You may qualify for Free School Meals if you meet the following criteria:
Please ensure you have applied for free school meals if you are entitled to them. You must be receiving at least one of the following credits:
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
- Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

Our Pupil Premium Grant (PPG): A summary of spending and actions taken is as follows:
- Additional staff have been redeployed to provide specific intervention work.
- Additional staff have been used to enable small group teaching.
- Learning Mentor employed.
- Inclusion Manager (non-class based) to target specific children.
- Sports Coach and Assistant Sports Coach employed full time to improve after school sporting activities. All extra-curricular clubs are free of charge for the children.
- Peripatetic Music lessons paid for and musical instruments purchased.
- Additional swimming lessons paid for.
- School trips including residential trips paid for.
