BVS staff will do their utmost to ensure BVS remains open. However, further snow is forecast so please continue to watch this space.
It is essential that everyone exercises great care when walking to school and when on the site because, although Mr Stevens has done a fantastic job clearing and gritting paths, due to the freezing temperatures they still remain very icy.
The 2009 KS2 SATs results have been published.
The week beginning 23rd November was our Autumn Term Creative Week. The focus was on oral Storytelling.
Saturday 21st November saw the BVS Cross Country Team competing in the MK Trials at The Bowl.
Last week Year 4 visited the Discovery Centre at Bradwell Abbey for a Roman Day.
The Autumn Term saw our playgrounds getting a much needed revamp.
The week beginning 9th November 2009 saw members of Year 5, together with Miss Gillam, Miss Thomas and Dyanna Moylan (BVS Chair of Governors), depart for a residential trip to Osmington Bay in Dorset.
This Monday we held our annual Sports Morning. The sun was shining and the rain clouds totally missed BVS. A great time was had by all.
Friday 10th July saw Year 6 organise a fantastic Charity Afternoon. The children decided that the charity that they would like to support would be the Dogs' Trust. They created games and competitions and all the rest of the school had the opportunity to visit.
This term's Creative Week has coincided with a scorching heatwave! However, creativity has flourished. The theme has been one of multi-cultural links and throughout the week visitors have come into BVS to offer their expertise and parents and grandparents have provided endless support.
The Shine National Festival for Schools is a special week long event that will be taking place between 6th and 10th July to celebrate the creative talents of young people across the country. The organisers have chosen Radiowaves as their social media partner to help to discover what is happening in schools.
