Art Inspiration

The week prior to the summer half term holiday saw the long awaited return of our Creative Week. This time we focused upon Art.

Our Arts based Creative Week was organised by Mr. Dunkley. Each Year Group researched one of the World’s most influential art galleries, discovering where it is based, the type of art that is on display as well as information about some of the artists.

The children made their own pieces of art copying the style and technique used by the Great Masters.

Year 3 investigated the Prado Art Gallery in Madrid, Year 4 focused upon the National Gallery of Art in Washington; Year 5 studied the Louvre Art Museum in Paris whilst Year 6 immersed themselves in the art found in the Vatican Museums in Italy.

The week culminated with an exhibition of the children’s work. If you would like to see some further photos please click here or here.
