2016 Sport Relief

The theme this year is ‘Do Yourself Proud’ by either walking, running or cycling a mile. Therefore, this year we are going to offer the opportunity for BVS pupils and staff to complete a mile around the playground.

It is that time of year again where we are encouraged to get involved with some seriously sporty fun in aid of Sport Relief. It falls on Friday 18th March 2016 and it will give our pupils the opportunity to raise money to help vulnerable people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. There are many schools taking part in events to help raise as much money for Sport Relief as possible and we would like BVS to be one of them.

The theme this year is ‘Do Yourself Proud’ by either walking, running or cycling a mile. Therefore, this year we are going to offer the opportunity for children to complete a mile around the playground. They can do this in their costume, three-legged or just as themselves but the aim is for them to feel proud of their achievement and to have accomplished something. Please make sure they have appropriate footwear for this.

In addition to the events in the day, the children are allowed to come in dressed as their favourite sporting hero. If your child is coming in dressed up we ask they make a small donation to the charity.
