BVS Admission Arrangements
Milton Keynes Council is the admissions authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools. Children attending infant schools transfer to junior or primary schools at the end of Year 2. Milton Keynes Council provides each child with an admissions pack, delivered via the infant school. You need to apply online or return the paper application by the closing date.
Places are allocated at BVS in line with Milton Keynes Council's admission criteria, subject to parents completing and returning an application form. Where there is oversubscription the following criteria will be used to allocated places:
- Children who are in care
- Children whose parents live in the school's reserved area of Bradwell Village, Heelands and the southern part of Bancroft.
- Children whose parents do not live in our reserved area, but who have a sibling attending the school.
After these three criteria have been applied, any available places will be offered, according to the distance of the child's family home from the school i.e. those closest will be offered places first.
