Athletics

25 children from BVS attended the 2022-2023 Milton Keynes Athletics Championship. These children competed in 2 types of event each, against multiple other schools.

These events included:

Track - 50m, 75m, 100m, 150, 400m, 600m and relay.

Field - Vortex, Long Jump, Triple Jump.

Mr Hawkins, Mr Yearsley, Mrs Addo and Miss Vincent were lucky enough to watch as our children came away with a selection of medals and awards. We couldn't be more proud of our representatives this year. The whole of BVS congratulates you in your success, well done!

Dance Football

StepbyStep Dance school organise a fantastic event each year, for children to experience and perform Strictly dance routines. Schools from Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire have the opportunity to qualify for a Grand Final after completing preliminary heats.

BVS have a successful history in this competition, having qualified for the Grand Final consecutively for 8 years and bringing trophies back with them along the way. In 2022-2023, we continued the qualification success and reached the Final, at the Royal Derngate Theatre in Northampton on the 16th of July.

This year, we had a Year 3-4 and Year 5-6 team compete. The Year 3-4 team were up against 19 other schools, whilst the Year 5-6 team were up against 21. Watched by hundreds at a fantastic venue, both teams performed excellently, perfectly representing BVS and doing us all very proud.

Thank you to all the children, Ms Allan and Mr Hawkins for their hard work throughout the year and efforts in the final! Thank you to the parents who were able to come along and support.

Football

During the 2022-2023 academic year, BVS participated in a Milton Keynes organised football league. Held at Farifields Sports ground, a Year 3-4 team and a Year 5-6 team competed in fixtures throughout the year. We couldn't be more grateful for the organisation of the event, and both teams were very successful in their respective leagues. Well done BVS!
